Tanya Free Signing Off

I would like to thank everyone who has reached out to me during my hiatus from  the airwaves and social media while dealing with some family illness. Your thoughts and prayers are much appreciated.

January 2019 marked the Tanya Free and Friends Talk Show’s tenth anniversary thanks to the encouragement of family and Radio legends Preston Brown, Kirby Carmichael and James "Chocolate Chip" Johnston of WCLM 1450 AM. The past ten years have afforded me and my friends an opportunity to communicate with hundreds of thousands weekly as our network grew to 15 cities and five internet outlets.

We have covered a lot of topics over the past ten years ranging from the election of our first African American President to the election of a former reality TV celebrity. I am proud of the fact that we touched on topics that never made it to the mainstream media and all viewpoints were always welcome.

I would be remiss if I didn't also thank Pastors  Alton  and Tiger Foote of WQCN 105.3 in Richmond, Efia Nwanganza of WMXP 95.3  Greenville SC, Scotty Reid of the Black Talk Radio Network ,Stuart Vener and Jason Dowd of  AMFM247 Network, Gerod Stephens Power Talk Radio  and Pastor Donald Jones New Orleans Talk Network and Keith Wonder Boy Gardner of Peachtree FM for their partnerships in distributing the Tanya Free and Friends Talk Show over the years.

A special heartfelt thank you to everyone who has supported us, responded to our posts, called the show and to all of my panelists over the past ten years. Thanks for the memories!

After much reflection and prayer I have decided to retire from the airwaves.

Tanya Free and Friends signing off! “Be Free and Remember to Live Life With A Purpose!”

We need voices like yours on the airwaves.I was thinking about it during this whole Blackface controversy

Ten years is surely an accomplishment especially when you have maintained independence from corporate control.I applaud you and pray that we will hear and see you in a different platform.

I am so glad all is well with you.I called the radio station after they playing repeats and was told you would be back soon.Radio will not be the same without you.Your show was unique in the fact that we always learned something, dealt with the real and had a good laugh all in one show.Peace and Blessings. I hope you still plan to market paraphernalia and clothing.Your sense of style is legendary. You and Tamron Hall know how to slay the fashion world. If Ellen Degeneres could have a line of clothes,so should Tanya Free.I'm just saying......

I failed to mention that I will also miss your style. How about that Tanya Free clothing and shoe collection?
